Civil Human Rights Front to mourn fallen protester on death anniversary

Jimmy Sham. Protest organizer Civil Human Rights Front said today it will lay flowers at the Pacific Place in Admiralty on Monday to mourn an anti-extradition bill protester who fell to his death outside the mall on June 15 last year. Marco Leung, 35, fell after hanging banners bearing slogans against the now-withdrawn extradition bill, which was then suspended by the Chief Executive, Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor. The group calls for people to wear black with a white ribbon on Monday and mourn in their own ways. Convener, Jimmy Sham Tsz-kit, said the protests have not ended, but the government repeatedly use social distancing measures to suppress marches and rallies.
