City traders charged with Sh230 million land fraud

Two city traders have been charged with conspiracy to defraud a businessman of land worth Sh230 million. Jacob Mwangi Mungai and Patrick Magu Kamau were both charged before Milimani senior principal magistrate Gilbert Shikwe with another count of forgery. The charge sheet showed they jointly and with others, not before the court forged a letter of allotment for the land measuring 3.2 acres with the intention of committing a fraud. The land in question is said to be registered in the name of the Bahati Development Welfare Association. The magistrate released them on a Sh1 million bond with an alternative bail of Sh600,000.
