more-inIn the run-up to International Women’s Day, Hyderabad police will organise a host of events to raise awareness on the safety and security of women as well as objectives of SHE teams. This year, the event will include a two-day SHE Teams Run Expo starting from March 3 and 10K, 5K and 2K awareness run on March 4 at People’s Plaza, Necklace Road. Home Minister Naini Narshimha Reddy will inaugurate the Run Expo with 50 stalls at People’s Plaza on March 3, he said. The two-day Run Expo will have displays on cyber crimes, SHE teams, traffic, CLUES teams and other wings of police and government departments, where the public can interact with them. To encourage participants, the volunteers will set up hydration counters, live bands along the way and each participant will be entitled to specially designed SHE Teams Run medal and certificate, he said, adding that no registration fee will be collected from college students.
