City slum clusters demand special careThe Kloen Toey slum, with up to 1.2 million dwellers, is a new hotbed for Covid-19 infections. Just when we were made to believe that the Thong Lor cluster had subsided, the Klong Toey cluster emerged. As the country's largest slum, Klong Toey houses around 1.2 million people, although only 800,000 are registered as residents. Apart from field hospitals, a centre or shelter that takes care of the children will be needed. If dense communities are not a priority for treatment, similar clusters will emerge.
