City firefighters hold event for Palmy Rocks huntersDavid Unwin/Fairfax NZ. About 16 children were invited to the station after finding Palmy Rocks in parks in the city. More than a dozen children had special access to the Palmerston North Fire Station as a reward for finding hand-painted Palmy Rocks. Since July 2016 hand-painted collectible rocks have been distributed around city parks for families to find during the school holidays. Hayden Robinson, Mila Robinson, 3, Kate Robinson and Baxter Robinson, 1, hold up the fire service themed rock they found in Palmerston North.
