Council in April unanimously passed the recession plan that aims to assist the city through both the current economic downturn and those in the future. The plan’s stages exist to govern city expenses in the case of both marginal or large reductions in revenue. Last year the city deemed reductions in the “significant” stage, though the city’s budget team now recommends moving down to the “moderate” stage.
