The Beatrice City Council approved an ordinance and two resolutions dealing with the redevelopment of the Paddock Kensington building on Monday evening. City Administrator Tobias Tempelmeyer explained that there is an agreement with Main Street Beatrice. “We have an agreement with Main Street as you will remember they own the building,” he said. “We thought we had a grant figured out, but we postponed closing on that property until sometime in June. The city selected Hoppe & Son, LLC for this project.”According to the Memorandum of Understanding, the city will sell the building to Hoppe & Son, LLC after its closing with Main Street Beatrice for one dollar.
