TAIPEI - In order to help teenagers get in the habit of planned spending, the Champions Education Association joined forces with the Citi Foundation to hold "4S of Smart Finance: Save, Spend, Share, Smart" classes and develop the Champ financial management account book app. Because teenagers often find it hard to persist, and because it is hard to preserve paper accounting information, the Champ financial management account book app has been designed with weekly and four-week units. The classes' easily-understood approach enabled the students to gain an immediate sense of accomplishment from their real money-management experiences, and helped them establish account-keeping and smart financial habits. Hung Ying-cheng, Chairman of the Champions Education Association noted: "The teenage years are a key time for learning financial management skills. The 4S of Smart Finance classes help teenagers internalize basic financial management concepts, ensure that they have correct financial values, learn to make the best use of resources, and become effective financial stewards."
