For the second time this month, the State Department has circumvented Congressional oversight to transfer $147.5 million in arms to the Israeli government. The Executive branch is out of step with Democratic senators on the Armed Services Committee. Interestingly, the Israeli media has just declared that “BN’s regime is the worst in Israeli history ” on the one year anniversary of his taking office. Itay Stern of the WaPo writes on December 30, 2023:“Terrible and bloody: the worst government in the history of Israel marks a year,” wrote journalist Ben Caspit in the Maariv newspaper.
