The decision came after a meeting of Bangladesh Film Exhibitors' Association at the Film Development Corporation or FDC on Monday, said Mia Alauddin, adviser to the association. Schools and coaching centres across the country have also been shut after the number of confirmed cases of the virus rose to eight on Monday. The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research urged citizens to avoid large gatherings as precaution.
