Luke Odubanjo said this at a media briefing to announce the start of the 36th Methodist Council of Bishops in Lagos from tomorrow. He said when the nation is failing, the church has the duty to speak out and correct leaders at all levels. Odubanjo said herdsmen attacks continue to thrive mainly because they are supported by some politicians, warning those involved to desist. The cleric said the church and the nation oppose their diabolic support for herdsmen. He called on government to ensure timely release of Leah Sharibu.
