A church congregation in Fairfax County has no place to worship after the roof of the church collapsed as the region continues to cope with snow and ice. The roof collapse occurred at St. George Tigrai Orthodox Tewahdo Church in the Mount Vernon area, near Richmond Highway. WATCH HERE WATCH HEREPreliminarily, the county fire department believes the strain from the weight of snow and ice were to blame. Church leaders said they noticed a small crack in the ceiling Saturday night and were in the process of getting it checked out. Church leaders said they’re trying to figure out what’s next and have been talking with their insurance company.
