Christopher Luxon will speak after 12.30 Photo / Jason OxenhamIn a speech today, National leader Christopher Luxon said the Government's $6 billion of new spending in Budget 2022 was "hard to justify". Luxon said Government needed to "review existing spending, and revisit plans to go on the biggest Budget spend-up in history". "It is very hard to justify record new annual spending of $6 billion in an overheated economy," he said. Luxon used the speech to pivot away from the Government's budget itself, and towards the economy at large. And it drives up prices across the economy," Luxon said.
