When speaking with HeyUGuys presenter Stefan Pape to promote his new film Alita: Battle Angel with director Robert Rodriguez and producer James Cameron , Waltz was not giving much away in the interview. When asked to give details on his character, Dr Dyson Ido, Christoph Waltz was resistant. "I don’t think an actor should talk about his character, because it’s shooting himself in the knee." When asked if the talent involved in the film influenced his decision to do the film, the actor was equally frosty. When Pape asked Waltz about his aspirations to direct a film, Waltz gave him a silent glare, followed by "Did you notice?"
