Police say the accident took place on McGrath St, just south of the junction with Wellesley Rd, about 10.10pm on Boxing Day. He sustained critical injuries and was taken to hospital. He succumbed to his injuries yesterday. Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or assisted the man before the ambulance arrived, to contact them on 105 and to quote reference number 251227/1644.
