Brighton were left with nothing but a few end credits for the resilient way they set about trying to secure their own Premier League future. Ryan’s fingertips pushed the ball onto the body of Shane Duffy on the line and again Brighton’s luck held. The interval came and went and the second act was very much a repeat of the first – only more so. Dunk and Duffy were pillars of strength and the rest of the Brighton team manned the barricades around them. Tottenham rained fire in from all ranges and distances but little of it tested the defences.
