When it comes to dedication, Papakura High School head boy Alan Tea Taanoa has it in spades. And as he laced up his shoes at the Papakura running track, his classmates nodded in agreement. The Papakura High School programme Hotaka Piri Kura will officially launch on March 20 with displays from the police dog section, the Armed Offenders Squad (AOS) and the police Eagle helicopter. Schools offering the programme in 2019 include Rotorua Boys' and Girls' High, Auckland's Papakura High School, Tarawera College in Kawerau and Wellington's Aotea College, Mana College and Kapiti College.
