Metservice forecaster Paul Ngamanu said a westerly flow would bring warm weather to Christchurch over the weekend, with 31 degrees Celsius predicted for Saturday and 27C on Sunday. People who felt dizzy, weak or had an intense thirst or headache should drink water and rest in a cool place, according to advice from Canterbury health authorities.
