Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman Andrew Norris said he received multiple calls about the fire at a house on the corner of Centennial Ave and Tika St, in Upper Riccarton. JOSEPH JOHNSON/STUFF Three fire crews were called to the blaze, which started around 5pm. There was one property nearby but it was not threatened by the flames, he said.
