A Christchurch motorcycle gang headquarters has been shut down by police. Police said the community had provided them with a "large volume" of information which had helped shut the headquarters down. Those with information that could help police in fighting drug and gang crime could contact their local station or report information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Anyone suffering from drug addiction was encouraged to contact the drug and alcohol helpline on 0800 787 797. The Rebels headquarters, on Vauges Rd in Northcote, was the subject of a number of search warrants over the last few months, police said.
