Chris Wood is being considered for a long-awaited return to action on Friday when Nottingham Forest’s B team meet Newcastle. Forest’s top scorer last season with 20 goals, Wood has not played since October due to a knee injury and he has been missed desperately. The club are above the relegation zone on goal difference alone and travel to fellow strugglers Tottenham on Sunday. Morgan Gibbs-White is Forest’s top scorer in the league this season, with eight goals, and Forest have managed only 28 all campaign.
