It boggles the mind that the prime minister of Canada would think it was true, or think people would appreciate hearing it. And even in this age of instant all-pervading outrage, Grégoire Trudeau’s hand-on-heart feel-goodery is a powerful currency: she sang that bloody song on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and didn’t suffer much for it.
