But it’s surely notable that no Canadian jurisdiction is coming anywhere near the Danish or Norwegian models. From an Ontario perspective, specifically, it has been interesting to watch how parents in other provinces have coped with their disgruntlement. The best-case scenario is they might have access to a publicly funded Catholic school, in addition to the public one. But the province’s two largest Catholic school boards, Toronto and Dufferin-Peel, do not admit non-Catholic children of non-Catholic parents for primary grades.
