Jewar airport is being developed as an alternative airport for Delhi NCR. Delhi airport which is built to cater to a maximum population of 6 crore is providing services to 9 crore people. Flights get delayed due to high air traffic at Delhi airport and Jewar will take the burden off," Sharma said.
