Klondike’s Choco Taco, a multigenerational ice cream favorite, is no more. Unilever-owned ice cream brand Klondike confirmed that it has discontinued the product due to a rise in demand from other sweets in its portfolio, according to NPR. The waffle cone-covered ice cream treat was created in 1981 by Alan Drazen while working in management for Philadelphia-based company Jack & Jill, as reported by Eater. This February, Taco Bell and Klondike partnered to bring Choco Tacos to select Taco Bell restaurants throughout Los Angeles and Milwaukee. Fans of Choco Taco, and even a couple of brands, took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the discontinuation.
