Auckland mayoral candidate Chloe Swarbrick will run for the Green Party at next year's general election. In a statement on her Facebook page, Swarbrick said she was "committed to being part of positive and progressive change". Green Party co-leader James Shaw said at the time that her campaign had been "phenomenal". Her chance of getting into Parliament will depend on the list placing given to her by Green Party members. However, it is understood that at least one of the party's Auckland MPs will leave Parliament at the next election.
