Chittagong sea port, airport activities resume

The activities at Shah Amanat International Airport and Chittagong seaport have resumed as the cyclonic storm “Bulbul” weakened into a deep depression. Earlier, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) suspended all sorts of operation of CSAIA from Friday noon as the cyclonic storm Bulbul was approaching the coastal areas. Loading and unloading of containers and delivery of consignment from vessels at inner berth of Chittagong port reopened at 2pm on Sunday, said Omar Faruk, Secretary of Chittagong Port Authority (CPA). CPA suspended its all sorts of operation as the Met Office raised the danger signal no.6 for the Chittagong port, he added.
