MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong reassured the Chinese that MCA always has the UEC recognition on its mind. The UEC is a national exam managed by the United Chinese School Committees’ Association of Malaysia for Chinese private secondary schools. Dr Wee said Barisan manifesto would be consistent in both Malay and Chinese versions. On seat allocation, Dr Wee said discussion was still on-going on possible swap with other Barisan component parties in Negri Sembilan. Later after launching the operations room for Temiang seat, Dr Wee applauded MCA Youth chief Datuk Chong Sin Woon for his diligence.
