Chinese signs are erected on Great Ocean Road to stop Asian tourists crashing at intersections

Chinese traffic signs are springing up on Victoria's Great Ocean Road to stop Asian tourists crashing at some of the state's most notorious intersections. Sally Cannon, from Apollo Bay in Victoria, has put up four signs in Chinese at two intersections which have been scene to numerous accidents. While it's illegal for members of the public to erect their own road signs, this hasn't deterred Ms Cannon. The signs – two at the intersection of Colac-Lorne Road and Deepdene Road, Murroon and two at Apollo Bay near the Great Ocean Road – include give way and stop signs. He also added that the different approach to driving in South East Asia meant road safety measures were important.
