A senior urban management official in central China has been fired after his wife was filmed apparently assaulting a pregnant nurse who was treating the couple’s child. In a video circulated online, the two women are seen scuffling and the mother appears to pull the nurse’s hair. She was quoted as saying that the child’s mother became angry after the nurse told the child to stop moving his arms while preparing him for his jab. The mother’s husband, identified as Xu Lianglu, was the head of Tongshan’s Chengguan, or urban management team. Although he was not involved in the incident, he was dismissed, the county government announced in a statement on Sunday.
