Huajian Industrial Holding Company Limited plans to invest in the building of an international light industry city in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa. Speaking to Xinhua on Friday, Zeng Lizhuo, Communication Manager at the Ethiopia division of Huajian, says the international light Industry city will be built on 138 hectares of land and employ up to 50,000 people when completed by 2020. The Huajian International Light Industry City is already partially operational with 15 hectares of the planned 138 hectares developed so far. Huajian already has another plant producing shoes in Dukem city, 37 km south of Addis Ababa, commissioned in January 2012. He was speaking on July 7 while attending the Inauguration of Kombolcha Industrial Park 375 km north of Addis Ababa.
