KHULNA, Aug 26, 2023(BSS): Police today recovered a body of a Chinese engineer from the Bhairab River here in the city. The deceased was identified as Woang Siao Khui, 44, an electrical engineer of an under-construction power plant under Khalishpur Police Station in the city. On information, Police recovered the floating body from the Bhairab River at around 9,00am, Sonali Sen, Additional Deputy Commissioner (North) of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), confirmed to BSS. Tuhin Mia, an interpreter of the Chinese electrical company namely Sun dong-Sun long-Sun Wue, told BSS, the Chinese engineer joined the power plant about seven months back. Al-Amin, safety officer and also an interpreter of the Chinese Company told BSS, the engineer joined the power plant in last February.
