General News of Saturday, 27 December 2025Source: www.ghanaweb.comItems and cash worth over three hundred thousand Ghana cedis (GH¢300,000) have been donated to Motherly Love Orphanage in Kwabenya by the Chinese community in Ghana, in collaboration with UNESCO Ghana. The initiative, dubbed the “Love in Action” charity project, brought together the Chinese community in Ghana, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO-Ghana), members of the international community, and a team of Chinese doctors to provide both material support and compassionate care to the children at Motherly Love Orphanage. Speaking at the event, UNESCO’s Representative to Ghana, Edmond Moukala, expressed appreciation to the Chinese community in Ghana and the 14th China Medical Team for their sustained commitment to the initiative. The Director of the orphanage, Reverend John Azumah, also expressed gratitude to the Chinese community in Ghana and the 14th China Medical Team for their continued support and compassion towards the home. Motherly Love Orphanage was established over 16 years ago to provide a safe and caring environment for children affected by HIV.
