Any time Olympic medals are handed out, you’re going to see some feelings. But most athletes don’t express them quite like Chen Long, a badminton player from China. Chen, who won a bronze medal at the London Games, won his first Olympic gold medal on Saturday, defeating Malaysia’s Lee Chong Wei in the final. After his 21-18, 21-18 victory, Chen dropped to the ground in tears. He appeared to be so overcome with emotion that he needed to be helped up by his coach.
