A Chinese artist worked laboriously over three days and nights to build a 150-cm statue of a cartoon fox out of $20,000 worth of Lego pieces. It took less than an hour for a roving child to reduce the fox to a pile of plastic rubble. “The child did not intend to break it,” Zhao told CCTV, a Chinese state-run broadcaster. The child’s family reportedly offered to pay for the damage, but the artist turned them down. The quick destruction left most of Zhao’s creation in ruins.
