Ethiopian Agricultural Authority announced that meat would be exported to China and Indonesia. It was able to earn USD 50 million from meat exported within the last six months. Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait are among the top destinations for Ethiopian meat. According to Ethiopian Agricultural Authority, Ethiopia has the potential to export 200 thousand tons of meat per year. Red meat development is also one of the major focus areas of the Ministry of Agriculture’s 10 years plan.
