BEIJING: Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang has said that Pakistan is willing to cooperate with India with the latter’s investigation over the Pulwama incident in which 44 Indian soldiers lost their lives. Shuang, while addressing a presser, said that China has been closely following the post-Pulwama situation in the region. “The earlier Security Council’s press statement mentioned a specific organisation but it was a general statement rather than an official one,” he asserted. “Both the parties [Pakistan and India] should conduct an objective and unbiased investigation to find out the truth. Commenting upon the escalating tension between Pakistan and India, Geng Shuang said that “Pakistan and India are both important countries in South Asia and a stable bilateral relationship is crucial to regional peace”.
