Defense companies owned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) have been shipping jamming technology, fighter jet parts and navigation tools to Russian defense companies that are currently subject to sanctions, according to the WSJ report. The WSJ identified more than a dozen companies in Russia and China engaged in shipments that are subject to U.S. sanctions. U.S. officials have said they are preparing new sanctions against entities aiding Russia’s war in Ukraine. “Despite international scrutiny and sanctions protocols, reliable global trade data shows that Chinese state-owned defense companies continue to send military-applicable parts to sanctioned Russian defense companies,” C4ADS analyst Naomi Garcia said.
