Beijing sent a clear and loud message to Washington yesterday: stop bullying us. Beijing’s message is included in China’s “white paper,” a comprehensive response to the new tariffs America is imposing on Chinese products. But before blaming America on bullying, China should stop its own bullying in the South China Sea and Africa. In the South China Sea, China is bullying several countries. Worse, when China lost a United Nations-linked tribunal international arbitration to the Philippines on the South China Sea disputes a couple of years ago, Beijing threatened Duterte with war should he dare to enforce the ruling.
