China’s state media had praise and a warning for India’s Narendra Modi in recent weeks, leaving investors in the financial markets confused over the geopolitical risks associated with the ongoing disputes in the region. The praise is about India’s fast growing and robust manufacturing. “Although Narendra Modi's demonetization move put a dent in India's economic momentum, the country's manufacturing sector still grew 8.3 percent in the third quarter of the country's fiscal year. Beijing’s warning to Indian government on the Dalai Lama’s visit to the disputed region follows another warning Chinese state media sent to overseas Indians last month.
