An official US report indicates that China has deep strategic interests in Pakistan, which will force both countries to stay engaged despite irritants. Bilateral relations should be mutually beneficial and not solely focus on China’s interests and ambitions. With such outstanding receivable investment on the sinking ship that is Pakistan, China better have deep strategic interests. “China’s interest” has totally overwhelmed Pakistan’s interest. Any country which has $ 64 billion at stake will have deep strategic interest.
