A cold front will continue to sweep the southern region of China in the next two days and temperatures will plunge, the national observatory forecast today. From 8:00 a.m. today to 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, the cold front will cause temperatures to fall by 4 to 6 degrees Celsius in parts of regions south of the Yangtze River, southern China and Guizhou province, according to the National Meteorological Center. The center also forecast light to moderate rain for regions including northwestern and southwestern China in the next three days, and thunderstorms for parts of southwestern China and Hainan island. Heavy rain is forecast for parts of the provinces of Yunan and Hainan.
