Hasina Khatun, 11, was visiting Baroipara, her grandparents’ village at Paba Upazila, said Karnahar Police OC Selim Badshah. The child had stayed back when both her grandparents went away to visit a neighbouring village on Thursday. “They found her dead with her throat slit when they returned at around 11pm,” he said. The child was murdered probably because she recognised her attacker(s), said OC Selim. Police recovered the body and sent it to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for autopsy on Friday.
