SHAH ALAM: A 23-year-old employee of a child care centre pleaded not guilty in a Sessions Court here to a charge of abusing a toddler. Norsyafiqah Anis Mohamad Ahpandi was charged with abusing the three-year-old boy by causing injury to him. She allegedly committed the offence at an Aman Putri child care centre between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Feb 17. However, Norsyafiqah's counsel Siti Rohaya Mohd Tajuddin said her client was the sole breadwinner for her family after her father stopped working. Siti Rohaya added that Norsyafiqah earned RM1,000 monthly and supported her three siblings who were still schooling.
