Child battling cancer fulfils dream of meeting Sidney Crosby, gives him beaded medallion

An 11-year-old Winnipeg boy battling cancer recently fulfilled his dream of meeting his hero, NHL player Sidney Crosby, and gave the superstar a beaded medallion to match his own. "Just to see my son's hockey idol wearing a medallion that matches my son's medallion that I beaded, it's something to be very proud of," said Rachel Green, Dian Green's mother. "He's always been a fan of Sidney Crosby since he was a baby," said Rachel Green, who added her son is an avid hockey fan who loves to skate. "Through Dream Factory, we were told that Dian could have a wish and his wish was always to meet Sidney Crosby," she said. During the meeting, Dian wore his medallion proudly and Crosby asked him about it.
