Child assaulted at holiday programme at Alexandra schoolThe child was assaulted during a school holiday course, police say. A child has been indecently assaulted during a school holiday programme at Alexandra Primary School. Detective Sergeant Brian Cameron said staff at the holiday programme on Thursday afternoon noticed a man talking to a child in the playground at the Central Otago school. A 56-year-old Canterbury man has since been arrested and charged with indecent assault on a child. The Ministry of Social Development, which runs the school holiday programme, and the Ministry of Education have been advised of the incident and subsequent arrest.
