Passengers on two cruise ships were travelling to Mayan ruins when their bus overturned EPAAt least 12 people including a child died when a bus carrying cruise ship passengers to Mayan ruins in the southeast of Mexico overturned. Seven American and two Swedish citizens were among the 18 people injured when the bus tipped on to its side on a dual carriageway in the state of Quintana Roo, authorities said. The nationalities of the dead had not been established, but none of the victims were thought to be from the UK, according to the British embassy in Washington. Royal Caribbean Cruises, which is based in Miami, said that passengers from two of its cruise ships, the Celebrity Equinox and Serenade of the Seas, had been involved in the crash.
