CHIEF Justice Diosdado Peralta has ordered the reorganization of divisions in the Supreme Court following the appointment of a new justice. Under Special Order 2762, which Peralta signed on January 10, the high court revamp was enforced in view of Justice Samuel Gaerlan’s appointment last week. Peralta, in his directive, said he would sit as permanent chairman of the Supreme Court First Division. Associate Justice Mario Victor Leonen will head the 3rd Division whose members will be Associate Justices Alexander Gesmundo, Rosmari Carandang, Rodil Zalameda and Gaerlan. There are two incoming vacancies in view of the retirements of Justices Andres Reyes Jr., and Jose Reyes Jr. in May and September, respectively.
