For Michael Osacky, it all began with a shoebox full of baseball cards back in 1997. "For my birthday, by grandfather got me a shoebox full of cards and I was hooked," said Osacky, a certified vintage sports card and memorabilia appraiser from Chicago, who will be coming to Fall River on Wednesday, May 22, to appraise a couple of personal collections. Ten years after Osacky's grandfather gave him the box of cards, he began his appraisal company, Baseball in the Attic. When he's in Fall River, Osacky will be providing formal written appraisal reports to two clients, one for insurance purposes and the other as a fair market assessment. I'm not saying they are trying to pull a fast one on you, they just really don't know what the true value is.
