He could remain with the team for Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Indians after receiving an unscheduled test for Covid-19. According to a statement by the team, Renteria awoke this morning in Cleveland with “a slight cough and nasal congestion’’ after traveling from Chicago on Sunday night. Chicago Sun Times beat writer Daryl Van Schouwen quoted sources on Monday night that Renteria’s test had come back negative.
